Front End Developer / Web Designer – Contract Position

Expat Tax Tools is currently seeking an enthusiastic front-end developer and web designer to join our team on a full-time contractual basis, with the potential for transitioning into a permanent full-time role.

Location: Remote (Priority given to Greater Toronto Area, Canada)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled front End Developer/Web Designer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial role in creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and reports for our suite of tax-related tools. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your front end development expertise with your graphic design skills to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our development team to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Develop dynamic web pages that communicate seamlessly with the back end using Ajax requests and APIs.
Design user-friendly forms and reports that enhance the usability and functionality of our tax-related tools.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front end components with server-side logic.
Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any UI/UX issues.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in front end development.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front end development.
Proficiency in HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Working knowledge with Ajax requests and API integration.
Experience with PHP is considered an asset.
Strong graphic design skills and experience creating user-friendly interfaces.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
